They are pushing credit cards at the entrance, Hilton timeshares while shopping, and selling "protection" at the exit. There is not one step in the Bass Pro/Cabelas shopping process where you aren't being approached by someone selling something you aren't there for. Time shares??? What are we doing?? Makes me dread stepping foot in a place that I used to LOVE shopping at. Please fix this.

- BTBinh TNov 16, 20251.0I was at basspro last week looking to view and purchase a avet bait cast reel. I circled around the selections twice trying to find the avet reels. There wasn't any on display. As I was circling the selection of reels, there were two associates working behind the counter. One was helping a customer, the other one was playing on his phone. I approached the one playing on the phone ( Wes) and asked if you (Basspro) carry avet reels. Without bothering to look up and away from his phone, Wes tells me, "we don't carry avet reels" and continues playing on his phone. Disappointed, I looked around for a few more minutes to see if there were other alternatives to the avet I might want instead. Still no help so I left without making a purchase. I wasn't planning on sending this review until today when I Google searched avet reels and saw Bass pro does carry them. Irritated about being lied to, I decided to write this review. I don't know if Basspro has a cellphone use policy for their employees. Not putting your phone away to assist a customer who has approached you for assistance is extremely unprofessional. Do better Basspro.
