- DRDavid RisnerNov 6, 20251.0The guy that installed mine was rude as hell and doesn't even know how the company charges your debit card. I keep getting fraud alert messages from my bank when I pay them and I asked him if that's the company he uses to process credit/debit card purchases so I could let my bank know and he got an attitude with me. The machine doesn't work correctly. It says I had a violation when I had not had anything to drink at all and it takes 30-45 minutes to get my car to start Everytime I try to use it because I can't blow that much air. It's really stupid to have to blow again 5 minutes after you're driving when there's a camera showing you obviously aren't drinking. Having to blow while driving is something that could cause an accident. Very rude person that has a bad attitude and if not required I would never use that place. They do other type of business there as stereo systems and stuff like that and because the guy was so rude and disrespectful I would never do business with him again. I would drive to San Antonio rather than give that guy any business. He was a disrespectful punk so I would give them 0 stars.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
