    Poor communication on closing time. We walked past several employees on their phones and or minding their own. Assuming it was okay to shop since we weren’t told otherwise, we shopped around for 30+minutes just to be told that we couldn’t try the items on. When the store was called in regards of the frustration due to the situation, we were openly disrespected by the manager Allison (person on the phone) as we were asking for the store manager or someone who was above herself. As the conversation went nowhere we decided to hang up the phone and take our business elsewhere. Very disappointed in the way this shopping experience at express turned out.

    I had a very disappointing experience at Express Galleria, and I feel it’s important for both customers and corporate leadership to be aware of what’s happening at this location. My daughters and I spent close to an hour in the store browsing, and not a single employee approached us or offered assistance. After selecting about six items, we walked toward the fitting rooms where an employee named Jose was stationed. His attitude was immediately unfriendly and unprofessional. As we approached, he reached for the rope and closed off the fitting room area right in front of my daughter’s face without saying a word—no explanation, no courtesy, no basic manners. When we asked if we could try on the clothing, he responded sarcastically that we could not until they were “cleaned.” I offered to wait, but he dismissed us and said they could “hold them until tomorrow,” again with no professionalism or willingness to help. Frustrated, I told others nearby not to bother trying clothes on since they wouldn’t be allowed, and we left the store without making a purchase. I then called the store and spoke to someone who identified herself as a manager named Alison. Instead of addressing the issue seriously, she responded with sarcasm and even laughed during the conversation. When I asked to speak to the main store manager, she gave a dismissive response, saying there were “many managers,” which was completely unhelpful and unprofessional. What made this worse is that I had driven nearly an hour to visit this location. When I mentioned this, there was no accountability—only deflection. At one point, she even questioned whether I was actually at the store, to which I responded that I was standing right outside and simply did not want to create a scene. This experience reflects a serious lack of training, leadership, and professionalism. Customer service at this location is far below expectations and does not represent the standard a brand like Express Inc. should uphold—especially when compared to the level of service provided by higher-end retailers at the galleria. I will be escalating this complaint to corporate because this kind of behavior should not go unaddressed. Customers deserve respect, basic courtesy, and professionalism—none of which were demonstrated during this visit.
