high-rise Westin hotels, and three office towers, The Galleria is
Houston's most popular retail and tourist destination, meeting every style
and taste. A plethora of amenities, including a full-size ice rink for

First time there. My wife and I had a blast. A great variety of shops. Jewelry, clothes, shoes, snacks and coffee shops oh my. Did some serious walking. 3 miles worth. If you do go? Go say hi to our new friend Alicia at Kay jewelers. Tell her we said, Hi.

Go to the Galleria is you like playing with your life. Thefts and aggravated assaults are now a risk you take when visiting. Yes, vehicle theft happen everywhere, but the Galleria's lax security is a no brainer target for thieves. I don't go unless I absolutely have to. Christmas time is bitter sweet. The mall is decorated so nicely and it's memorable to skate in the rink, but it doesn't make up for security. I get it, security can't be everywhere. I know that and thieves know that. There has to be a better way to deter crime though. Some stores, like the Home Depot, use flock cameras to read license plates. This may be an option for the Galleria. It would help trigger to police when a vehicle known to be used by thieves has entered the premises. Just throwing ideas out there. This is a shame because there was a time back in the day that I enjoyed shopping and dining here. Those days are long gone. The Galleria was the hip place to go and be seen.

The mall want decorated for Christmas and everything was spectacular. We went to Starbucks and we didn't wait to long online. There is a place to sit with tables on the upper floor at Starbucks. We enjoyed our coffees and went shopping in and out of the stores. It was one of my highlites of my trip to Texas.
