If I could give this place 0 or negative stars I would. I work in customer service and have been for 10 years. When I say the customer service here is the most horrific I have ever encountered I am not exaggerating. My appointment was 11/12 at 9am. I came exactly then for my device to not even be here. Mind you, this appointment was scheduled a week in advance. I called multiple times to confirm it was there but the direct phone line doesn’t even work. I had to leave work for no reason for this. This guy stated the device would be here the next day. I asked when they open he said 8:30 am. I asked if I could come at that time & he reassured me that I could. Today 11/13, I am here at 8:37am. Just for another person to say that the guy to give me the device is stuck in traffic and I will have to wait 30-40minutes. Mind you, I’ve left work for this. & was assured I could be here at 8:30 to pick it up. This is extremely inconvenient when the other guy can honestly just hand me the box that I am looking at with my name on it. It takes literally 30 seconds. & I came from Cypress to this location with no traffic, so the traffic excuse. Is bs. Customer service is extremely poor, mannerism is extremely poor, work ethic is extremely poor, everything about this establishment to the staff is extremely poor.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience with Smart Start has been absolutely unacceptable and needs to be shared.
On May 12, I was wrongfully charged $2,110.35, despite clearly being enrolled in a $200/month plan. I’ve tried to resolve this issue multiple times — in person and over the phone — and not only has the refund STILL not been processed, but I’ve been treated with complete disrespect every step of the way.
Every time I asked for help, I was met with attitude and zero accountability. One employee literally told me to "go dispute it with your bank" instead of helping. No one ever followed up. It’s been over 8 weeks, and not a single person from their team has made an effort to correct their mistake.
If you value your money and time, I strongly advise you to avoid this company. There are other providers out there with far better customer service and integrity. Smart Start has shown they care more about taking your money than making things right.

Finished my punishment and learned my lesson. Service was great through this whole process. Angel and ob are amazing. From training to guiding me in the right direction. Glad I’m done with this and hope to never come back.

What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?
