I stopped by to see if they had a different dial for my Rolex. They didn’t — which is fine — but they offered no suggestions and gave curt, dismissive answers. I then asked about another Rolex model I’m interested in. I understand it’s in short supply, but it’s one of the more attainable models, not one of the ultra-rare ones. Once again, I received a short, dismissive “no” and a look that made me feel foolish for even asking. No offer of a timeline, no interest, no courtesy. What bothers me most is the attitude — these salespeople, with their inflated egos, seem to forget who the client is and who’s working the floor.
