  I had a very disappointing experience at the West Oaks Academy Sports location. We ordered bikes for our kids and received confirmation emails stating that the bikes were assembled and ready for pickup. My husband also called to confirm the order was ready. Based on that, we drove nearly an hour to this location because it was the only store that had the bikes we wanted. When we arrived, we were told the bikes were not assembled and that the technician wouldn’t be available until the following Tuesday. This was extremely frustrating given the clear communication we received beforehand. What made the situation worse was the response from the manager, Kim (who refused to provide her last name). Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience or offering any kind of real solution, she was defensive. She blamed it on a “computer issue” and stated that the system automatically sends out completion emails even when orders are not actually ready—without taking any responsibility for the impact on customers. After wasting time and making a long drive for nothing, we ultimately canceled the order and left empty-handed. This experience showed a serious lack of communication, accountability, and customer service. I would strongly recommend considering another location altogether.
