I had the pleasure of visiting Bass Pro in Garland, TX recently, and I was blown away by the incredible service at the gun counter. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and patient, making sure I got exactly what I needed for my shooting needs. They took the time to answer all my questions, whether I was asking about ammunition, firearms, or safety tips. What really stood out was the expert advice I received when I was looking for the perfect shells for dove and quail hunting. The team recommended the Herter's Dove & Quail Shotgun Shells and I couldn't be happier with the performance! They really know their stuff when it comes to hunting gear, and I felt confident in every purchase I made. The gun service here truly goes above and beyond, making every visit a smooth and enjoyable experience. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or a first-timer, the team at Bass Pro in Garland is there to make sure you leave with the best products and advice for your needs. Highly recommend!

All the problems you would expect from a big box store. Some good employees, many useless ones. Online firearm pickup was a major fail. Nothing worked with their online scheduling as they said it would. Phone employees direct you to store. store employees direct you to website or anywhere else they can to avoid having to do any work. Finally got through it but I'm convinced that without my effort and experience managing employees that I would've never gotten notice to come pick up. Ammo is overpriced. Also, I actually resent letting someone hard sell timeshare packages right in the front of the store who will lie to your face and say there's no catch that its just a "good deal" to promote their resorts. I guess that's the new American way. I'll probably stick to online and mom and pops as usuall. I was enticed to do business there because of an item that was a Bass Pro exclusive. I guess that's an advantage to being a soulless multi billion dollar bohemeth. But as a small business man it kinda baffles me that they want to spend all this money getting customers in the door but then don't know what to do with them or how to retain them? It's like a vicious spiral downward. Like I said, the new American way.

Every time I come here, if you can find an employee, there is absolutely 0 customer service. The service desk is the same way, and if you talk to the other cabela's and Bass Pro Shops in the area, they all will tell you. They get a lot of business sent to them from the Garland store. Literally tried to buy a boat and motor 3 times this week. And nobody could help me in customer service thought it was more important to answer the phone than talk to people standing in front of them.

I had an outstanding experience at Bass Pro thanks to an employee named AJ in the hunting section. He went above and beyond to help me with my late grandfather’s deer hunting rifle, taking the time to mount a new Leopold scope and rings with care and precision. Throughout the entire process, AJ was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. It’s rare to find someone who not only knows their craft this well but also genuinely cares about the customer’s experience, especially when the item has sentimental value. His expertise and professionalism gave me complete confidence, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Bass Pro should do whatever it takes to keep employees like AJ on the team. Because of him, I’ll continue to shop here and will absolutely be recommending him to others. Thanks again, AJ, you made this experience exceptional

I recently bought a used pistol from Bass Pro Shop in Garland. The initial employee I dealt with was awesome. A shout-out to Alex in the firearm section. The trouble began when I attempted to purchase the pistol. I handed over my CCL, and the man took it and required me to verbally state what was on the license...twice in a row when he had my legal ID in his possession. I filled out the transfer form and left off my SS number, as it is not required. He then brought up my SS number from somewhere ( I didn't provide it) and required me to confirm it was my SS number, and he did this twice. Why was my SS number shown to me printed out, and me to confirm it when it was not a legal requirement? I feel like y'all just make up your own rules. I bought the pistol on 10/22/2025. In closing, I felt the whole transaction was unpleasant and unlike any firearm purchase I had made before. Is my experience normal, or was I given "special treatment"?
