The business itself is very pretty. This review is not about that. This review is solely about the interaction that we had with the owner’s wife when we were asking questions about how to plant the wildflowers. My husband and I aren’t very well versed in how to correctly plant things and we were going to spend $50 on seeds, so we were trying to learn how. This lady, though I’m sure well-intentioned, did not listen, assumed things about our land without even asking, interrupted constantly and just stayed on her own well-worn script about what she thought we needed instead of actually listening to us. My husband was really trying to go into detail and learn since this is a subject that we’ve heard many different opinions on and she got impatient with him. At one point, she walked away and another woman named Sue helped us and was much more nice and helpful. But then the owner’s wife came back, said some more things, got impatient with my husband again and said to him “God bless your wife”, which we both felt was insulting. Especially because we were just wanting to understand the product that she was selling and about to spend $85 at the store. My husband and I talked about the encounter all the way to our hotel in Boerne. The comment really hurt his feelings and it made me angry. We like the store, but this woman needs to learn how to listen to customers, be patient in teaching them if she feels she has something to say, and if not, just stay away from them.

Pictures taken on 10/25. Free to enter. We were told it’s $5 during full bloom season to walk through the trail. There were so many beautiful flowers, butterflies, and things to see. Gift shop was beautiful and there was a wide variety of plants to purchase along with garden decor. Wine tasted great too.

Wildseed is a favorite place of mine. Whenever we travel to Fredericksburg, we go to Wildseed. Each season is unique to browse the plants and flowers and garden decor. Inside are beautiful gifts and decorations and jams, jellies, wine, and other goodies. It is a privilege to visit this beautiful place over and over. I live near Dallas and each year I plant wildflower seeds from Wildseed and each year, I get my own beautiful wildflower display. Done this for many years.
