Lost my business today. Handed lady my military ID and she still didn’t give me my discount. Oh well the items can be purchased cheaper elsewhere. I will no longer be buying from them.

Justin took care of my knives today. He was the only man working the service center and he was able to juggle the line of customers and take care of my request without skipping a beat. Cool guy, and a good frontman to make a good impression of the Bass Pro Shops brand.

It’s a BPS Outpost. Translation: it has all the high prices of a BPS with no aquarium because it’s a barebones store that rebranded over Cabelas. You’ll still find most of the stuff that you would at any other BPS but in a much tighter space. On that note, they have these vacation package salespeople that are positioned by the corner of the cashiers and restrooms as well as on the way to the hunting section. You can’t make one trip to this store without them trying to flag you down to sign up for a vacation package. It’s annoying at best and intrusive while shopping at worst. I get it, they’re just doing their job but it really adds to the annoyance of shopping in an already diminished experience at this store. The wonder and magic of BPS is being able to ogle at large mouth and pickerel in a big tank and buying a hat and kettle corn while looking at all the things you could buy elsewhere for much cheaper.

Very nice store. Clean, well organized. Employees very helpful. Was able to buy what we were looking for. They carry a lot of cool stuff, you don't find everywhere else...Like...Moon Pies😋 One thing, and it's not Bass Pro's fault.... The construction in El Paso is AWLFUL. You can't get off any of the exits to get to the store. Coming from Las Cruces, NM. Recommend REDD EXIT.... but, you never know ... watch out for drivers in construction area....be safe. But Bass Pro Shop is a great store.

I want to start by recognizing Jacob Enke, who helped me at the counter. He was friendly, professional, thorough, and efficient. He apologized for the following issues that were beyond his control and handled the rest of my transaction smoothly. His customer service was excellent. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor communication about my firearm delivery, which was not Jacob’s fault. I ordered a firearm online and had it shipped to the store. Tracking showed it was delivered on Friday, February 13 at approximately 10:30 a.m. When I called the store the next day to check on it, the female employee I spoke with in the firearms department told me I could not pick it up until I received an email notification. When I asked for a general timeframe, she said she did not have one and that it depended on when the warehouse team processed it. She did not ask for my name or attempt to look up the transaction. After waiting two more days without any communication, I went to the store on Monday, February 16 and was assisted by Jacob. He clarified that because this was an FFL transfer and not a firearm purchased directly from the store, an email notification would never have been generated. A phone call would have been the only way for me to know it was ready for pickup. That was frustrating to learn after being told to wait for an email that was never going to come. Jacob acknowledged the lack of communication and provided excellent service from that point forward. I was also disappointed to learn that the FFL-to-FFL transfer fee is now $75. When the store operated as Cabela's, the transfer fee was $35. While I truly appreciated Jacob’s professionalism, the communication issues and significant increase in transfer fees have led me to decide that I will not be using Bass Pro Shops for future FFL transfers.
