  Absolutely NO customer service. If you need help, don't plan on getting any what so ever. Waited over 10 mins and tried to find someone through out the store. Left the store without getting what I needed. Will NOT be returning to this location.

  I placed an online order for pickup at this Academy around 9:00 AM, and it was ready by 10:00 AM. I arrived at about 2:30 PM. The store sign says to go to customer service for online orders, but I couldn’t find it, so I went to the gun counter for help. Two employees were there on their phones and seemed bothered when I approached. When I asked for help, one employee made a comment about me not knowing what type of gun I purchased, which felt unprofessional since I’m new to firearms. I was told to wait, but my ID was left sitting there while they helped other customers, even those who arrived after me. Another employee briefly helped me but then told me to wait again. After waiting 40 minutes with no assistance, I asked for my ID back and left. By the end, there were no other customers waiting, yet I was still ignored. It honestly felt like I wasn’t being helped because I’m a woman, as employees mainly approached male customers. Very disappointing experience.

  I love academy, Never have any issues shopping. Nataley and Angie always a great help when it comes to outdoor and footwear.

  Purchased my first gun. the employees were helpful and very nice. made the first gun purchase smooth and easy, as well as the background check.

  My friend bought his first gun at this Academy Sports, and the whole experience was kind of confusing. It was our first time buying a firearm there, and nobody really explained what was going on. After the purchase, an employee escorted us to the door with the gun and handed it to my friend right there as we were leaving. We were confused because no one told us that was their process. We were still planning to keep shopping for ammo and a cooler, but after that, the whole thing just felt awkward and uncomfortable. I understand they probably have their own procedure for firearm purchases, but it would help a lot if they explained it better, especially for first-time buyers.
