- LJLauren JudyMar 1, 20261.0This sign said $149.99 for active series. There was no active series on the rack front or back. I went to check out and it rang up for $220.00. I asked the lady checking me out and she was already aggravated and didn’t speak to me. I lead her to the rack with the sign on it and she was mumbling under her breath. When we got there she said she was going to get the manager. When the manager came she didn’t look at me and just look at the computer and said the price is the price and tried to walk away. When I asked why the sign said something different, she told me that JCPenny can put any sign, with any sale above any rack, even if it doesn’t match the clothes beneath it. I asked politely if they could honor the pricing of the sign placed above. The manager told me no rolled her eyes and walked away. I understand that it’s not the employees issue, but as a customer I’m have to find the correct sale sign for the item of clothing. This is insanity to me!! I will never be returning as a customer with the awful service and false advertising.
