- SBSam BrownAug 12, 20251.0I hadn't seen or been around an AE store in a very long time. I came in today to the Denton location and shopped around for 30 minutes. There were three guys working - all of them over by the register. Not one of them said hello, the whole time that I was there. Not one of them came over to see if I needed help. I even just walked in the dressing room. --- Usually, there is someone there or someone to help. Nothing. I looked around the store and saw a lot of items that I thought my three teen/young adult children would like. And I saw items that I would like myself. Instead, I put back the jeans I tried on. I bought a couple of Snoopy items. A pair of pj's and a couple of socks to match. Only because, I was concerned that I would not find these items elsewhere. --- When I asked the guy checking me out where the closest other AE's were. He asked if it was because of the limited Halloween stuff they had. I said, "No. Just hopefully better customer service." --- This was my first and last time to shop at this location. --- I would have asked for a manager, but I'm pretty sure one of these guys was a manager. (With three guys working a store and I'm the only customer in there.) Hopefully, one of the other locations will have their staff understand the importance of customer service. This is how you gain and maintain loyal customers.
