I went there to check out the VHS tapes. Huge selection of overpriced tapes, most of which are in horrendous condition and would be unplayable. Multiple tapes were deteriorating and some with mold. Would not recommend getting anything from them unless you absolutely can't find it anywhere else. The DVD and Blu Ray selections are decent but for used stuff, I expected it to be a much better price considering it should be "half-price". Check Amazon before buying anything because most of the things in this location are more expensive than new and out of the things I did find, they were missing discs or damaged. Such a shame, because it's a massive store that should be the prime location for this type of media. I did not go there for books, but I added an extra star from what they deserve for the massive selection they do have, which is at least fun to peruse.

We love this store. Our local HPB closed so now we have to drive to this one. It's not convenient, but it's really big and there's something for everyone.

I ordered a book online. It was supposed to be shipped from here to CA.
I get sent a UPS tracking number.
It doesn't work or get updated for several days.
I go to my local store and they can't find the order at all.
I try to reach out to customer service and I get told it was shipped to Texas via USPS and it's my responsibility to go find it.
The continue to dodge the question as to why it was sent there or to offer a refund.
So here we are online shaming them because there are no consequences

It's kind of weird going to a real bookstore again after a long break. My Kindles' algorithms and its awareness of my reading habits and its corresponding recommendations are great. At the bookstore I am overwhelmed by a sea of books I don't have any frame of reference to care about within, and any book I could think of to look for wasn't there. I spent and time in an uncomfortable wooden chair at a table that was serviceable. I vaguely recall there possibly used to be some overstuffed chairs? I enjoy that I went there, but being there I felt awkward and incomplete. I think it's just me.

I had an amazing experience at Half Price Books. The store is incredibly spacious, making it easy to browse without feeling crowded. I really appreciated the quiet reading areas they make it more than just a bookstore, it feels like a place you can actually relax and enjoy your time.
The selection is huge, with something for everyone no matter what you’re into. Whether you're looking for something specific or just exploring, it’s easy to get lost in a good way. The overall vibe is welcoming, organized, and perfect for book lovers.
