Founded in Vancouver BC in 1998, the first lululemon shared its retail space with a yoga studio. We've been growing ever since, and our technical yoga and run clothes are now available in countries all over the world. We want to elevate the world from mediocrity to greatness. Our Mission Statement is to create components for people to live longer, healthier, fun lives. We make technical athletic apparel for yoga, dancing, and most other sweaty pursuits.
All lululemon locations have strong ties to our local communities.

However, we had a really unpleasant experience a few days ago. We went in around noon, and the store was very crowded. While picking clothes from the rack, a woman told her that the items she was holding were "hers" because she had placed them there. She had taken a huge pile of clothes. We didn't understand-does placing them on the rack mean she already bought them? Or that she's still deciding? Yet she put the clothes down and gave them to her. Later, when checking out, we saw her again. She had placed all those clothes on one side of the cashier counter, and they were just taking photos of the clothes. Clearly, they were not staff, but they grabbed the last items we wanted. When we asked the store associate if there was more stock, she told us everything was sold out. Those women never even bought anything. While customers like us who truly wanted them couldn't purchase them. When we finished checking out and were about to leave, we saw her put all the clothes back onto the rack again. It was honestly ridiculous.
