- VSVollie StoneFeb 21, 20265.0I had ordered an out of print book called "Free-Luving Fresh Water Protozoa" by David J. Patterson, from HPB for very cheap, $5.99 to be exact. The going rate for this book was $75 - $100 everywhere else. Google it if you don't believe me. I shared my good fortune with my dad, who suggested i had been scammed by either a fake site or by HPB themselves. Indeed I wondered how HPB could be selling me this $75-100 book so cheaply. I became certain I had bee scammed and vowed to be more careful next time. Well, as Gomer Pyle used to say, "Surprise, Surprise!" I recieved my book in the mail today, and looked nearly brand new. My dad was wrong, and I was wrong. Thank you Half Price Books that was WAYYYYYYYY under half price.
