I decided to run into JCpenney at the Lakeline mall today in search of a purse on my day off. Upon approaching the register to check out the cashier asked me twice if I would want to sign up for a credit card which I answered no thank you I’m okay for today in response she said “Just do it, just take the card.“ Again I politely declined and let her know I would be paying full price for my items today and was not interested in a credit card, she then looked past me towards my partner and said “so how about you you’ll be signing up for a card then.” Once he also declined her demeanor turned very cold she even left a sensor tag on a pair of shorts I had purchased. Upon leaving the store the alarm went off and a different associate came to assist us she checked my items and said she had gotten poked by this sensor which was not fully removed. I did not catch the initial associates name whi had checked me out just her associate number which was 0944 off of my receipt. She was extremely pushy, unprofessional, and unpleasant.

I just left the Lakeline JCPenney store after purchasing a small kitchen appliance. The box was bulky and somewhat heavy for me, but because it was difficult to find anyone available to help on the sales floor, I managed to bring it to the checkout counter myself.
At the register, Cynthia assisted me and was very polite, professional, and courteous. Her customer service was excellent and much appreciated.(5-stars)
However, the experience changed when Marilyn, who identified herself as a manager, approached the counter as Cynthia’s shift appeared to be ending. Marilyn came over with a noticeably negative and dismissive attitude toward both Cynthia and me. Her demeanor was unprofessional and uncomfortable.
I asked if someone could assist me in taking the box to my car, since it was bulky and difficult for me to handle. Instead of offering help or looking for an associate who could assist, Marilyn tipped the box up on one end and said, “It’s not heavy.” I like shopping at JCP and this is the first time that I encounter someone so unprofessional as Marilyn.

Cold customer service and messy, unclean fitting rooms. Go to the University Blvd store instead for friendlier faces and better collection!

Cynthia was very kind, professional, and attentive to all. Cynthia made sure everyone was greeted and taken care of while helping me. She was very thorough and most very helpful to all! She did not rush me and was very patient. Even though Cynthia was the only one in her department, she still provided the ultimate in customer care! Thank you Cynthia!
