    Ugh. Such a pain. Had alterations done on Dec 7th to be picked up on Dec 17th for a wedding on Dec 20th. Their alterations are only open on weekends so there was no reason to try on what they did because there was no one there. Well, the jacket was done, but the waist for the pants was not. I wore a belt to hold up the pants. I went back today (Dec 28th) for a refund on the pants. The first person to help me couldn't do anything because the charge on their computer was only for a single ammount, and not itemized. They also said alterations aren't usually refundable. The manager couldn't find the charge on her computer at all and said it was my fault that I didn't try them on when I picked them up. I reminded her that their alterations department is only open weekends. She said she could have sent them out someplace else. Ten days to do the intial alteration and the wedding was three days after, I wouldn't trust giving up the pants to send somepleace else with that turn around. At the manager's computer I told her to use my email to look up my account, but she wanted to use my phone number which for some reason despite being on my email account with them doesn't show up the same. She then wanted to see the reciept for the purchase of the tux. That took a while because it was ordered for me and was on my brother's wife's account. She was for some reason surprised that the alterations weren't on that account. I told her she needs my email for that and she said their is no record of the transaction, despite the first person who helped me finding it no problem. She said she could offer a store credit, which I declined. I just disputed the pants portion of the charge with my credit card.

    We went Christmas shopping with two other friends, and Nina provided outstanding support. She was extremely patient, demonstrated great communication skills, and remained welcoming and approachable throughout our visit even as we asked many questions. Her positive attitude made a big difference in our experience.

    Nina, one of the staff at Nordstrom Rack, was incredibly helpful and patient while helping me find the best clothing matches. She has a great eye for style and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Her attitude and professionalism were outstanding. I really appreciated her help.

    My wife absolutely loves shopping here, and most of the time we walk out feeling pretty good about the place. But I have to say, I was downright stunned by the awful customer service last night (12/5). It was getting close to closing time, and there were two cashiers up front. Only problem was, only one of them was actually doing any work. The line kept growing while the other cashier (her nametag said Martha or Marta) was glued to her phone like it was the most important thing in the world. I stood there and watched the poor cashier who was working get through four customers before Marta even bothered to look up. And when she finally did, she acted like we were all inconveniencing her. Unfortunately, she called me over, and the attitude was unbelievable. No greeting, no smile—just a grunt, tossing my items into a bag like she couldn’t be bothered, then staring at me when the transaction was done. No “thank you,” no “good night,” nothing. She looked young, sure, but not that young—definitely old enough to know the basics of customer service. Honestly, the whole thing left such a bad taste in my mouth that I’m considering calling the manager just to make sure someone addresses her training and attitude.
