- SVSheila Victoria-AnneDec 11, 20165.0Received my online order in a timely manner and everything looks wonderful. The "green excursion vest with corduroy" I ordered was much bigger than I expected so I went to return it at the J. Crew store inside the Domain outdoor mall in Austin, TX. A cashier named Ben and an associate next to him (didn't get his name but he had a large reddish brown beard) were both very helpful and EXTREMELY friendly. Ben looked to see if another green w/corduroy vest was available online in an XXS but he said they were sold out. He then checked if there was a Navy Blue one in that size, but it was also sold out. I told him I was not picky on the color and he was polite and offered to look up if they had other puffer vests in that size. The other cashier with the large beard said if they didn't have it available in store that they would be happy to ship it straight to my house. I could not believe the great customer service...you just don't see that anymore! Ben himself went to look for an XXS in their inventory at the front of the store and found one in Navy Blue. It didn't have corduroy but I was happy that they were so helpful anyway. The difference in price was unexpected because the Navy Blue was not on sale as the Green w/corduroy had been online.... but then Ben applied a 40% off discount that was unexpected as well! The difference then came to only $13 which I was happy to pay as to have my jacket right then and not have to wait for the shipping or pay for shipping costs (which I would have been happy to do if need be, but Ben made it very convenient). Thank you to the staff for the great service at J. Crew- Domain in Austin, TX, and thanks be to the J. Crew company for providing amazing discounts to many customers out there like me who would normally not be able to afford your wonderful clothes otherwise! I am a music teacher with a very small salary and I love looking forward to your sales every year. I will continue to commend this experience and recommend this brand to friends, family, and coworkers!
