The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work.Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, Tenn. The agency serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee, operating 30 retail stores and two outlet stores, about 53 Donation Express Centers and 13 Career Solutions Centers. The nonprofit is one of Tennessee’s largest employers of people with disabilities with more than 45 percent of our workforce reporting some type of disability or disadvantage. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold either in our retail stores or online at onlinegoodwill.com. Revenue from the sale of donated goods helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

And they used to have huge bags and would bag your items at the checkout, now don't even have bags at the checkouts besides the big reusable bags and they charge $1.64/bag. Have always bragged on this store being the best one in the area until today. Was really disappointed.

But the last few times I have stopped in here the prices have been ridiculous. Leggings first off… they use to have a wall full of leggings. Now they have very few… why? Because they are mixed in with pants. So instead of $5.99 ( most goodwills are still 4.99) they put the leggings in with the pants for $6.99. Smh… Next I loved their T-shirts now they have very few … why? Because they are placed in the short sleeve shirts. So instead of $2.99 they are charging $5.99. Some items priced up to 19.99 for some used jeans. Carhartt t-shirt 9.99 a patagonia t-shirt 9.99 . What in the world has changed so much with this goodwill over the last year or so. Don’t even get me started on the prices of their stuff in the back. And their shoes 30???? I travel a lot for work and stop it most goodwill’s along the way, and this has got to be the most expensive one.

- DCDiana CharlesNov 29, 20255.0Love the goodwill stores would like to see a $50 discount once a month or more on entire store! They do this in Michigan/Indiana monthly and really clears out the store! The racks are bare when done.Its a great way to declutter! Love goodwill!
