- VEVeronica ENov 12, 20251.0This used to be my go-to American Eagle location, but after my recent visit this past Sunday, I will never be shopping at this store again. I’ll just order online from now on. Like many of the other reviewers have mentioned, no one greets you when you walk in, and the overall atmosphere feels unwelcoming. When it was finally my turn to ask about an in-store pickup order I had placed hours earlier (which are usually ready very quickly), I spoke with what seemed to be a manager or team lead. She seemed visibly annoyed that I asked and told me she had three callouts that day and hadn’t had time to pick any orders yet. As someone who has worked in retail for over 10 years, that’s not something you share with customers. She even showed me on her device that my item was still in a shipping box in the back and seemed eager to cancel my order instead of fulfilling it. I told her I didn’t mind waiting, even if it took a couple of days. Less than 24 hours later, I got a notification that my order was canceled—despite her showing me that the product was right there in the store. This was supposed to be a gift, and now I have to shop elsewhere. Extremely disappointing experience.

I overheard one employee say to another that “they’ll ask you if they need help.” It was off putting. I’m not sure if it’s a management issue or just a lack of caring. The men’s selection is also not very good. I hate to say it but Opry Mills has a much better American Eagle than the Green Hills location. It’s sad… hopefully someone sees this and assists this store.
