I think most people fail to realize this is a franchise with a local owner. The owner, Brandon, has gone out of his way to help when I’ve had an issue. I wish I would have known to contact him before calling corporate. He’s very helpful if he’s made aware of your issue. If you have an issue, give him the chance to try and solve it. The local technician, Kirstie, is also wonderful! She’s always so polite, and gets me in and out quickly. She runs the shop efficiently and is my favorite technician of them all (I’ve met them all at every location and they’re all great!) Again, I’ve had this interlock device for more than 3 1/2 years, so I’ve had more than my fair share of experience and encounters with this company. I won’t leave a review for just any business. But I’ve been blown away lately by the kindness and positive experiences with both Brandon and Kirstie. They deserve to be acknowledged for their wonderful customer service and willingness to help and satisfy their customers. I’m actually a little bummed I’m finally getting the device removed and won’t see Kirstie anymore! She’s that great! I highly recommend SmartStart if you’re looking for an interlock company. Just keep in mind to contact the local owner and staff if you have any issues, not corporate!

How does an Interlock Device work?
