My friend visited me in Memphis, so I took her to Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid, and it turned out to be such a great spot to bring visitors. The interior is super unique, with a wilderness theme that feels much more grand and immersive than a typical Bass Pro store. It’s not just a store, it really feels like an attraction. We also went up to the observation deck at the top, and the view of the city and the Mississippi River was amazing. I only wish we had gone at sunset. It would’ve been even more beautiful. Definitely one of my go-to places to take friends when they visit Memphis!

Whoever said Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth has clearly never held a Gun in the glorious Bass Pro Shop pyramid in Memphis. Walking in feels like stepping into a curated wilderness—a mix of awe, adventure, and the quiet thrill of the catch. Towering displays of wildlife, walls of gleaming gear, and the faint scent of cedar and leather make it hard to leave. Even Schopenhauer, master of misery, might crack a reluctant grin at the sheer scale of hooks, boats, and possibilities. Here, happiness isn’t forced—it sneaks up when you’re admiring the scenery or plotting your next cast. 5 stars. -1 star because the observation deck doesn’t open until 11AM 4 stars. +1 star because it’s beautiful and I can’t stay angry at such a wonderful place. 5 Stars.

Let me say something before I get into this review. Everytime I go somewhere to eat i am either disappointed with something, its either the customer service was not good or the drinks warm or the food taste bland. BUT BAABBBY, when I tell you this restaurant is one of the Best I have been to. From the guy by the elevator to the hostess that sat us (who was new by the way) to our waiter Mr. Allen 5 out of 5. This was the second time I have been at the restaurant, the first was for lunch and BAABBYY the hamburger is smack delicious (my hussy was shocked by me saying this and eating all of it in one sitting). So I said to myself, maybe its a one time wonder, and decided to go back for dinner this time. In my mind im saying most restaurants are not consistent with the quality of their dishes. I was pleased, shock, and happy in one when the appetizers came, they were smack delicious I even ate the grass thingy that was for decoration lol. Entree came, OMG, I just wished I could have met the chef who cooked all the food cause BAABBY, they put the entire kitchen and the sink into the food. Mr. Allen, was our waiter for the dinner and his customer service was on point. I wish he can go all over America and train people in customer service. Everything was on time, no long wait in between drinks, appetizers and dinner. Shoot even the employees that came with the food to the table were really nice and professional. I was amazed at the great, well exceptional treatment the we got. Why? Because we were just finished from cleaning and fixing up our new place and did not realize we had not packed extra clothes to change. We were hungry and just wanted somewhere to sit and eat. I really thought that they were going to turn us away, but everyone was nice and I felt comfortable. The hostess was nice and pleasant as well as the new hostess. I really hope the Pyramid restaurant continues to keeps up with the quality of food, and service. Oohh...I forgot to mentioned the restrooms were very clean and no smell lol. Our overall experience was exceptional. Please Keep It Up.

Stayed at the Bass Pro Shops Pyramid in Memphis and while it’s definitely a cool place to say you’ve experienced once, the actual stay had a lot of issues. Our room had multiple electrical problems. The lamp by the door would randomly turn on and off by itself, even physically flipping the switch. The TV remote was completely dead, and at one point in the middle of the night the air jets in the bathtub turned on by themselves. It honestly felt like there were wiring issues throughout the room. We also tried the bowling alley inside the pyramid. The employee running it seemed brand new and didn’t really know what he was doing, so there’s clearly a training issue there. On top of that, the lane itself appeared uneven — using a ramp for my son, the ball would start straight and consistently drift right toward the end every time. The elevator system going to the top of the pyramid was inefficient. They were sending more people up than they were bringing down, which made it slow and frustrating to use. Breakfast was not included and cost about $20 per person, which feels excessive considering we already paid around $400 for the night. Overall, it’s a unique place and visually impressive, but the experience didn’t match the price. Worth seeing once, but I wouldn’t stay again. OP

During our honor trip to Memphis, we decided to stay at the Bass Pro Pyramid, specifically at Big Cypress Lodge, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for my family. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into something completely different than a typical hotel. The entire space is built around the Bass Pro Shops store, which honestly feels like one giant aquarium, full of massive fish tanks, wildlife displays, and immersive scenery. My children absolutely loved it. There was so much to explore that it never felt like we needed to leave to find something to do. One of the highlights was going up to the observation deck, where the views of Memphis were incredible. We also enjoyed the bowling alley, which added a fun and unexpected activity right inside the hotel. Even just walking around was entertaining. There are so many unique features throughout the lodge, including displays like the fly fishing museum and all kinds of outdoor-themed exhibits. It really blends the feel of a hotel with an attraction. Overall, it was a fun, unique, and memorable experience that my family will be talking about for a long time. If you’re looking for something different and family-friendly in Memphis, this is definitely worth the stay.
