This was installed incorrectly on my car and now I can’t drive my car at all. Smart start is wanting me to pay to have my car towed all the way to this location way one my 15 mile limit just to have them fix it and want me to pay what’s over the 15 miles . I AM NOT PAYING NOTHING FOR SMART STARTS MESS UP ! The Jeff guy who installed this pos device has wires showing on my dash board and a white wire that hangs under my hood. Someone should have checked his credentials before offering him the job ! My lawyer will be in contact!! 😘 Just bought a new battery and my car still doesn’t start not start, my fuses have been checked and they are all fine . So somebody fixing to fix this and somebody is fixing to pay ! I’m done playing with this bullshit!!!

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
