  I’ve shopped at Goodwill many times, and I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this has become a consistent issue. There is an older employee named Lisa (I don’t know her last name, but she appears to be in her 50s) who regularly works at the front register, and every single time I’ve come in, the experience with her has been unpleasant. She is consistently rude and not pleasant to be around. Nearly every visit, she stops transactions for price checks, which causes the line to back up and everyone to have to wait. It doesn’t feel like an occasional mistake it feels like a pattern. Every time I’m in there, she’s calling for a price check on something, and it slows everything down unnecessarily. What also bothers me is how she speaks to other employees in front of customers. There is another employee named Tim who is always very kind and professional. I’ve personally witnessed her asking him things like, “Did you charge them for the bag?” in a tone that feels condescending, almost as if she’s implying he doesn’t know how to do his job. It comes across as belittling and uncomfortable to watch. No one wants to stand in line while an employee corrects or questions another worker publicly like that. It creates a tense and frustrating atmosphere at checkout. A thrift store should feel welcoming and community-oriented, not stressful or unpleasant. I genuinely think she would be better suited working in the back rather than directly interacting with customers, because customer-facing roles require patience and a friendly attitude. I’m not trying to be harsh I just think customer service matters. When someone consistently brings negative energy to the front of the store, it impacts the entire experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and considers making changes so customers and employees alike can have a better environment.

  All Goodwill stores are different. With that being said, some are better than others as far as merc and store detail. The quality of merchandise is far better in the Michigan and Illinois stores than the stores in the southeastern stores.

  Beware of Lebanon Tn Goodwill. I went yesterday on blue tag 99cent day. I purchased several pairs of jeans two of the pair had no tag. I also had another item with no tag. The cashier calls a manager for a price check. He priced the one item at $3.99 when we got to the jeans I asked him if I could have them for blue tag cost, He said yes! My total was 80 something dollars....I was puzzled how I spent so much so I decided to look at the receipt, he charged me 8.99 for each pair of the two jeans with no tag. No wonder my total was so high, it should have been around 60 dollars. No big deal I'll go back up there I was sure it was a mistake. WRONG the cashier was on break two female managers come out of the office I explain what happen the go and get the male manager that checked me out and another male manager. Now with 4 managers standing around me. This male manger tells me he was joking and thought I was too.... seriously who jokes about money??? He doesn't know me, how could he assume I was joking when asking a direct question. This male manager became very defensive, rude, verbally abusive and taunted me. As I was leaving he loudly said to me sorry about my luck. I was embarrassed and couldn't believe my experience at goodwill. I went out to my vehicle got those two pairs of jeans and went back in I was returning them. He comes back up there and starts in on me again he takes both pairs of jeans and only refunds me 8.99 I told him I returned both. Another manager has to step in and show him on the receipt I paid almost 20 dollars for two pair of jeans. I finally got two separate refund papers for 8.99 each. When I was leaving this time he yells in his sarcastic voice hope you have a better day. I would highly recommend goodwill send some secret shoppers into this location and identify the issue customers are encountering with management at this location. It is clear from the reviews that this is a recurring issue. I was also told by that manager that the tapes could be reviewed to show I was the problem. I highly recommend and encourage upper management to do just that because it will be clear in the interaction he had with me alone that he was the problem.

  So over-priced, it will make your teeth hurt! Greedwill has made taking donated items and charging ridiculously high prices a true art form. This particular store has even higher prices than most, with mediocre quality. This place just makes me sad.
