- LDLindsey DanielFeb 22, 20261.0I came to the store to return a purchase without a receipt. I was told JCP no longer accepts returns without a receipt. They could find the receipt by looking up the rewards account info, but still would not help me. I looked online and no policy reflects this “new rule”. I also called another store close by to ask if they take returns without a receipt and I was told yes, but would need my drivers license for store credit, which is fine. I do not appreciate being lied to. I now feel as if the manager profiled me and either decided I look like a criminal so she just wasn’t going to accept the return, or decided I was “nice” so she could simply tell me no to meet some kind of company quota or something. IDK, but I can tell you I will not be shopping at this store anymore.

She was nice but told me this would be a big deal based on new strict JCP return policy. They needed a credit voucher but couldn’t find one so she tried to bypass and used A JCP gift card. Took my drivers license and after processing told me I would now be on a national list that showed I returned without a receipt. Made me feel like a criminal. I was so humiliated.

Now haven’t said that, “the ladies bathroom could use a makeover.”Overall, I had good shopping experience go check em out.
