I am shockingly amazed by the poor work they have done and honestly if work continues to be like this they may and should go out of business. I have already paid my monthly payment and had an appointment Friday and when I showed up for my appointment nobody was there to help me! I have been calling customer service for a problem that they created and expect for me to pay $25.00 a call........It is sad for anyone to go through this. Yea, we made the wrong decision to get us in this place that we are in but God almighty I have learned my lesson and happier than i have ever been being alcohol free! Praise all that have learned and congratulations!!!! I pray that more will follow the same blessing of a routine that myself and others have done!!!Thank you lord,hallelujah GOD BLESS YOU ALL🙏 👏

I went to school in south Florida and during hurricane Irma I had to evacuate Florida and come home to Tennessee, and during that I was not allowed back to my residence until the 28th and the end of my lock out period was the 27th of September. And got it serviced immediately when I got there on the 28th... one day after that's it and smart start told me I had to keep the device for an extra year for missing an appointment during a mandatory evacuation/state of emergency.im currently trying to get the state of Tennessee to review what happened and appeal it. Regardless of if tennessee overturns the violation and let's me get the device off asap I will 100% be filing lawsuits against smartstart and will be going to the better business bureau because this is messed up and the company and government are running a scheme to keep these on our cars as long as possible for extra money... and also my vehicle has had horrible electrical issues ever since the device was installed. Be prepared to be at a mechanic or buying a new car

Almost always a long wait just for check up. Its a money racket could make them wireless like a cell phone but that would lose them money

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.

Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.

Can someone else drive my car?
Yes, but whoever is driving the vehicle MUST take a breath test and pass before driving. Any failed test will still be your responsibility.
