While I was waiting for my vehicle on customer came in and said the device was running down his car battery, and another called on the phone to tell them the snae thing. In both cases the man rudely told them the device would not run down the battery. The day after getting mine out on my battery was dead and I had to charge it to get it to start. Horrible experience all around.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.

Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
