The agency serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee, operating 30 retail stores and two outlet stores, about 53 Donation Express Centers and 13 Career Solutions Centers. The nonprofit is one of Tennessee’s largest employers of people with disabilities with more than 45 percent of our workforce reporting some type of disability or disadvantage. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold either in our retail stores or online at onlinegoodwill.com. Revenue from the sale of donated goods helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

So I see online that goodwill will help you with a car if your Low-income or a veterinarian.. yeah they don't mention that it's just for there employees lol i wonder how many of there "employees" would raise there hands if you asked them if anyone has gotten a. Help with a car from them hmm. I bet it's a scam by good will to pocket money. Don't know that but someone might want to look into that just saying. I called because it says they help low income families and we are low income abundance in dire need of help to get back to work but I guess that we don't qualify

Goodwill in Columbia is probably honestly one of the worst locations in terms of merchandise in the store and the prices. A couple weeks ago my mother was in the store and one of the employees was putting out merchandise and when she asked him if he would put out an item so she could purchase it and not just take it out of the bin he told her that the item was worth a lot more than the price tag already put on the item and he was going to have to take it to the back to have them reprice it so she wasn't able to purchase it. The same employee was also seen putting out merchandise and hiding a particular item under other items so it couldn't be seen. I myself have seen him looking up items on his phone to check the value. I'm not real sure why he is so concerned with the value since all items are donated. Most of the employees at this location are very friendly. One of the biggest problems with this store is that there is a group of "regular" customers who hang out waiting on items to be put out and when items are brought out the group of customers will almost knock others down to get to the bins. Today I was in the store and that particular group of customers swarmed the employee with the shoe bin trying to look in and had an entire section around the shoes blocked where other customers couldn't get through. I go in this location a lot on my lunch break from work and it is very frustrating having to deal with this type of behavior from customers.

This store is almost 2 hours away but I was here on business so I had to check it out. Typical Goodwill.. I hate that all the sizes were mixed together in the kids section but at least girls and boys were separated. It's a little cheaper than the Shelbyville and Tullahoma ones on kids clothing. About the same on other stuff.

Easily the best goodwill I’ve been able to and likely the only one I’ll ever step foot in. Clean, large selection, and organized.
