The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work.Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, Tenn. The agency serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee, operating 30 retail stores and two outlet stores, about 53 Donation Express Centers and 13 Career Solutions Centers. The nonprofit is one of Tennessee’s largest employers of people with disabilities with more than 45 percent of our workforce reporting some type of disability or disadvantage. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold either in our retail stores or online at onlinegoodwill.com. Revenue from the sale of donated goods helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

    Ridiculous. I brought one item to be returned because it didn’t fit me and the white lady said I couldn’t get a refund even tho I had my receipt with me. She said she needed the ticket that came with the clothes which said $3.99 like if I was lying. Smh

    Took a visit to this goodwill location yesterday. I was amazed by there prices compared to other goodwill stores, one of the employees Demaria helped me find what I needed and even gave me some ideas! She was honestly the best!

    Micheal S. the older man that works at the register is a racist rude man . There were some gentlemen that were having issues with communication and paying with cash at the front one of their bills wasnt good but they immediately took out another and paid with that instead. While I was being checked out by Micheal, he kept telling Valerie and Darrell to call ICE until I told him thats rude and he finally looked at me and noticed I also am Latina scoffed then quieted down. No one checked him and told him those comments are inappropriate. Goodwill mission is about helping those in need period. It does not matter what background of any individual comes in and having these individuals at the store servicing those in needs is against company values. I am extremely disgusted by this rude behavior especially because there is absolutely no background information on those gentlemen. A person that publicly speaks like this trying to intimidate others or be rude for no reason other than someome speaking Spanish should not work at a company who's values are to help one another.
