The last few times I’ve been there, I left feeling humiliated from the way I was treated. I will drive all the way to the Belk Cleveland for future purchases to avoid being treated this way again.

I don't like the way the Athens Belk store advertises its sale items, and it's probably the same for all Belk stores. The clothes that are on sale are placed right beside clothes that are not on sale. For example, in the Tennessee Vols selection to the left of the entrance, sale and non-sale items are mixed together. As someone who doesn't do a lot of shopping, I was confused about which of the items I planned to purchase were actually on sale. To keep it short, the young lady who helped me today was not friendly at all. I asked her if some UA clothes were on sale and where the fitting rooms were. When I came back to pay, one of the shirts didn't have a tag on it, and she acted as if it was my fault. So I went and got another one with the tag on it and returned to the counter. After I noticed the items weren't on sale without a coupon, she did help me download one on my phone. However, she was hateful the whole time I interacted with her; it was like she did not want to be there. I understand that I was wrong about the sale items and the coupons, but there is no need to be hateful when a customer doesn't understand something. I can only take so much rudeness, so I left the clothes on the counter and walked out with my mother. I had left my phone on the counter, and the young lady was kind enough to bring it out to me in the parking lot, which I appreciate. I told her then that she didn't have to be so hateful. She handed me my phone, and we said our goodbyes. The initial mistake was mine—I didn't understand what was on sale and what wasn't. The reason I'm writing this review is because the employee was rude the entire time. I understand everybody has a bad day, but you shouldn't take it out on the customer."
