It has been only 17 days since purchase, well within the 30-day return period. I wore it once, found it uncomfortable and too large, and washed it so it would be clean when returned. The item remains in like-new condition. During the return process, the associate began lecturing me, stating that washing the item made it “defective” and that company policy prohibits washing prior to return. After reviewing the policy myself, I did not find such a restriction. I did not violate any stated policy. This tone and approach toward a customer are not acceptable. While I appreciate that the manager reviewed the situation and approved the refund, the associate’s behavior was unprofessional and unnecessary. As frequent customers of Cabela’s, my partner and I were disappointed by this experience. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and that additional customer service training may be considered to help prevent similar situations in the future.
