- TTthegoosescottageApr 16, 20261.0I just purchased an engagement ring for my girlfriend and the night that I proposed we noticed that the diamond was loose in the setting. I bought the ring in a different state but I took the ring here in rapid city to talk about it. We told the jewelry counter clerk about how I proposed the day before and the diamond was already loose. She didn’t apologize or say congratulations, just gave us a dirty look and became defensive immediately. She asked me about the paper work and I said I didn’t have it on me. She said that I really needed to have the paperwork so I asked her if she could look me up in the system. She begrudgingly agreed to look me up and said she had nothing under my name or number and only tried once. I understand I need my paperwork but she didn’t have to act so annoyed to do her job. She was incredibly rude from the start and unapologetic and unhelpful. She made me feel like I was a second rate customer. Somebody must have forgotten to teach this lady that kindness goes a long way in customer service. I’m honestly appalled. I didn’t come to make a big stink about it, I just wanted it fixed.

Why don’t they just mail a card that lists the 3 or 4 items you may be able to use it on, so you don’t have to spend hours trying to find something that it will work on. Have gone to check out numerous times only to be told that “this item does not qualify “. Signing up for or using a JC Penny credit card is NOT worth it!
