  I went here because I was given a gift card I normally wouldn't shop there and based on their experience I had I probably wouldn't go back. I was browsing around looking for what I was I wanted to get when I found a pair of Skechers. Being my favorite shoe, I went ahead and opted to buy them and found out that I would be able to have a 20% coupon if I downloaded the app because I don't shop very often I didn't want the app so I went to the register a lady named Betty was working it. Normally the color of a person doesn't bother me however this time it. Betty is black and so am I. When I asked about the 20% discount she looked at me like I had leprosy and told me that the only way I would qualify as if I got an application for credit card. The way that I dress is the opposite of my actual net worth and she looked at me like I wouldn't have been able to be qualified for a card. I tried to tell her that it was an app that was required for the 20% discount. She argued back with me so I dropped the subject went to another register this time the woman was white I asked her if she had a courtesy 20% off. She rang me up with no hesitation and I walked out with my new Skechers knowing that I will never go back... Sorry Betty you left a nasty taste in my mouth.

  Stopped by to get a wedding outfit. Ms Betty in the mens section measured me and helped me and my wife pick out a great outfit to go with a coat we chose. She was super helpful and patient and made the whole ordeal a great experience.

  Likeany other reviews state, this store is an absolute disaster with clothing and merchandise scattered about. They advertise all kinds of sales and coupons on the app, but the rude cashier's will try to blackmail you into signing up for their credit card in order to use them. The coupon said nothing about requiring a Belk card. I'm assuming they are paid to sell credit cards bc she tried again to get me to sign up and even laughed when I said no. Hopefully, the store will be closed soon, as there were maybe four people in the entire store and the employees obviously don't care about anything.

  I got a vest for Christmas and took it back to Belk's at Summerville to get refund. The vest was brand new with tags and was in a Belk's bag. When the Sales Team Leader scanned the bar code it didn't match in her computer. I told her it was purchased at Belk's in NC and asked if she could try again. Bottom line is Belk's would not take the vest back & give me Store Credit. Cost of the same vest in their store is $17.99. Needless to say, I will NEVER step foot inside Belk's again! They have lost my entire family's business over a measly $17.99.
