  I had three expensive art pieces I wanted framed and wanted to shop local so I chose this shop because of the high reviews. Unfortunately, I will not be using them again. I paid a little over $1,000 and dropped everything off on August 30th. I was told it would take about 8–10 weeks due to their recent move to their new space, which I completely understood. But I didn’t get my items back, finally done correctly until March 23rd. Almost 7 months later. I had to call multiple times just to get updates, and every time I got a different answer. Twice when I called they couldn’t even find my ticket/order and I had to wait for the owner to call me back. I was never proactively told about delays, frames that were not working correctly and breaking or backordered items. I only found out these problems when I called to ask about my order. When I finally got the pieces back, they weren’t even done right. One had a white border around the picture which I had not asked for. I was under the impression the Matte would touch the picture. We had picked specific mattes for that reason. And the second had a completely different frame that didn’t match the first one and that we didn’t like at all. I took them back to be fixed, end of January which led to even more waiting and more lack of communication. The woman at the front was very kind and helpful, but overall this was a really frustrating experience. I felt like I was always getting the runaround and excuses every time I called. They did upgrade to museum glass for free due to the delay, which I appreciate but I would have appreciated better communication and timeliness more. For the price, I expected much better organization, and communication. I truly don’t understand how this shop has such high reviews.

  We brought 3 prints we wanted framed up to Donovans about a month ago. At the time, I just wanted a quote for framing to match a print I already had framed. On the day I brought the prints up, a very nice lady spent a good amount of time picking mats and frames that best matched the mats and frames I already had. She gave us a few recommendations on different options that might work, but ultimately we decided to go with the first choice she made. We paid for the frames and were told between 6 and 8 weeks turnaround time. About 4 weeks after we dropped off the prints, I received a call that they were ready. Mr. James and Frankie were at the shop when I arrived. The prints looked amazing in their frames, the choice of mats and frames worked beautifully, and it made me glad to have gone with the recommendation of the woman when I dropped them off. Shane did an amazing job with the framing. I can not say enough how well done these frames were and how excited I am to get them on my walls.

  I had Donovan’s make me very large frames at 51in x 72in framing very expensive textured wallpaper. It turned out better than I could have imagined. They were full service in the whole project and very communicative and I couldn’t be happier!

  I paid in full to have my diploma professionally framed in October 2025 and I have yet to receive it. I only received updates when I called and asked on the progress. Each time I call I’m given a projected finish date that has never been honored. This experience has been extremely disappointing as I chose to support a local small business even though the cost was extremely expensive
