In the dressing room station, I was then greeted by Harvey who was extremely kind and helpful as well. Last but not least, Emily at the checkout was also extremely sweet and had a warm demeanor. The people I in t reacted with at this store was so helpful, sweet and welcoming. I hope the manager reads this so they can be recognized!!!

One of the employees, a young girl with her hair down, acted in a way that was completely unprofessional and honestly racist. While my family and I were speaking in our native language, she started mocking us by saying things like “wayayaya,” which felt like she was making fun of how we spoke. That alone was extremely disrespectful, but what made it worse was that as we were leaving, she whispered something to her coworker, and we clearly heard her say the word “racist.” It was deeply hurtful and made us feel unwelcome and judged just for being ourselves. I’ve never experienced something like this in a store before, and it’s disappointing that this kind of behavior would happen in a place that’s supposed to be inclusive. I hope American Eagle takes this seriously and trains their staff better. No one should be treated this way.
