  Excellent customer service, it’s rare to find people in a retail environment that are willing to go the extra mile to help. Cannot say enough nice things about the staff. They took excellent care of my wife.

  The girl working made me feel really uncomfortable as if I was about to steal something. I really don’t know what it was about my appearance or demeanor that gave her the idea that I was a potential shoplifter, and maybe I’m just assuming, but if that’s what the employees are trained to do, it’s not a very welcoming feeling. She asked if I needed anything while I was browsing, I said no, and then she continued to hover over me or keep her eyes on me the entire time I shopped. If I wanted to steal from a retail store (which I’ve never done and will never do) it’s not going to be one on the heart of Main Street lol, you can stop breathing down my neck.

  I accidentally washed and dried a recent Madewell purchase from a Charlotte location and it no longer fit right. The Charlotte folks directed me to the Greenville location and the staff was beyond exceptional. For a world where customer service is dwindling, Madewell has made a loyal customer for life. I will go out of my way to purchase these products and support this company!

  The shop is nice and in a great location. I stumbled in, walking by after going to the farmer's market. The clothes are "made well" and i like the styles. The sales women are friendly and helpful, HOWEVER, I was made to feel like they thought I was going to run out of the store with all of their clothes any second! The only thing I can figure is that I had a Scout bag with me that was mostly empty because I went to the farmers market and was expecting to fill it more than it was. Maybe they thought I was going to fill it with their clothes?? Idk but their hawkish behavior was completely uncalled for and made the shopping experience unpleasant. One gal seemed almost panicked to get the clothes out of my arms the second I walked out of the dressing room. Yes I know that's somewhat normal but the vibe and look on her face isn't normal. Usually they will ask if there is anything they can take to the register so you don't have to carry it etc but this one was just anxious to get it all away from me. At least I was able to try on their sizes to see what works for me. I'll order from the website from now on. People that shoplift make the shopping experience for those who wouldn't dream of it not worth the hassle. Disappointing. :(
