I live 40 minute drive away from this particular store.... I called ahead to make sure that they had the product that I was looking for in stock in the store.... The lady on the phone assured me that they had two of the item in stock... I drove the 40 minutes only to get to the store and find that they had absolutely none in stock. The people on the floor looked frantically for the item I wanted and were quite nice and helpful but also noted that the people running the numbers on their stock were generally not doing a great job, apparently I was not the only one who had had this problem recently...... I do not hold this against Bass pro shops / Cabela's as I do understand that people these days just want a paycheck and aren't concerned with doing their job correctly a lot of the time. I was however very disappointed that I drove the 40 minutes and was unable to get the item that I was assured was in stock.

Great store with a lot to choose from. The staff is helpful, and it’s always clean and well organized. Some items are a little pricey, but overall it’s a solid place to shop in Greenville!

Amazing atmosphere, employees everywhere to help you. The other day I went to Cabela’s and I visited the aquarium that they had. Amazing for not paying a single dime. I did end up spending 50 dollars worth of dog toys.

I guess it’s an OK place to buy a cooler or a pair of (small to average sized) shoes if you don’t mind being harassed about some kind of vacation hustle. But if you’re looking for information about products such as camping gear or firearms they’ll literally tell you to google it (one exception, once I got an unusually enthusiastic salesperson who had a lot of incorrect information to share. I had to say “good luck buddy, have a great day” and walk away. I still heard him yammering as I got to the edge of earshot, he just got louder the farther away I got). However, they are all consistently trained to interrupt you at least 4-5 times in a row to sign up for their credit card. Beware, the advertised 10% “member Monday” discount isn’t real (or at least customer service couldn’t help me apply it to my purchase, your mileage may vary). Unfortunately, it seems more like a lifestyle brand shop than an outfitter (which has its place I guess if you like branded toys and cheap hats). It’s a bummer, but my kids like going there so we’ll continue to visit, but it’s not worth buying anything there. Fool me once, shame on you. Keep trying to fool me every time I darken the door or call in, we’ll just look at the fish and play checkers.

I bought a $70,000 Z20 nitro boat I had to have a battery replaced within 3 months of purchase. Now my NOCO 4 bank charger has failed.Even though Bass Pro installed it, I have to go through NOCO for warranty. So much for standing behind products you installed. I also was a previous Nitro owner but will not tell anyone to buy from Bass Pro. I only have 59 hours on my boat so I should not be having these issues! Let me make things clear , NOCO will honor the warranty. However , Bass Pro Shop in Atlanta is where I purchased it , but was told any bass pro would honor the warranty. This has proven to be untrue! I am sure Kyle , the service manager, did what he was trained to do but relationship after the sale means everything. I will not advise anyone to purchase a boat from Bass Pro since they do not stand behind their product once it’s purchased.
