  Most of the staff are WONDERFUL. With that being said some of the new staff and New management needs some classes on how to speak and relate to customers and staff. The store is clutterd, the original staff look tired and confused,by the higher ups constantly changing routines and the way things are done. I've seen staff asking for help and no management shows, it's hot in the store apparently the store needs a new HVAC system. I've seen and over heard managers speaking to each other and down talking associates in front of other staff and customers. I wish Corp would do a Unscheduled pop up to see how the staff really is treated and to see how the store is looking.

  The store is so messy as far as women's clothes go. Clothes racks are so tight. Very un organize. Makes you just want to leave the store. Can not get shopping cart through the women's clothes area. There same clothes on a bunch of racks. Need to all be in one place. Store really needs help, before the shopping center opens next year.

  I was at this Belks today, Dec. 15 th at 1:00 pm. Had 3 items to purchase, with only one area to cash out, and over 12 people waiting in line. I asked them if anyone else could help ring out? I was told they had called the manager. A woman came over, and told the people at the END of the line to follow her, and she would cash them out in another area! Now, most of us had been in the line for 10 minutes, WHY.... would you take the people at end, you take people from the front, who have been waiting. I proceed to go with the other people, only to have her be chatting about how great Belks bags are! And to explain how they don't know when the busy time's are going to be? First clue..... it's Christmas, it's going to be busy. Well, after waiting for the 3 people she brought over to her register to cash out. It was finally my turn. I had a ring, a pair of earrings and a necklace. She kept talkng, and I ask her to Please just ring me out... The items were on sale, so when she told me it was $79.00, I said the sign said 50% off. She told me, that was a coupon I needed to have on my phone! I said Thank you..... Left the items and I will NEVER be back again.

  Please don't ever go to this store. It's a disorganized mess, both in appearance and in the staff. I was there today, waiting in line. I only wanted one cosmetic item. The person behind the counter told me that she was new, which I get, but after patiently waiting my turn, she informed me that she couldn't go to another register(the one at her counter was in use) because she had to go on break. The other staff person was busy with another customer, so my product was handled over to the staff member at the other counter. That staff person was waiting on an elderly woman and it was taking quite a while, so once the Estee Lauder counter person became available, I asked if she could ring me up since she was now free and I had waited for a while. The staff person at the other counter told her that SHE was going to ring it up (basically, I would just have to wait, I guess) so the Estee Lauder sales person went to help someone else. At this point, I'm exasperated and told them that I didn't need their product that badly and left, about 20 minutes after I first got to the counter. The store is a mess. I think that Big Lots looks better. Do better, Belks of Conway, but I won't be back.
