  They always have something my style whether it’s jeans, hoodie, sweater shoes or skirts I can always find something I want! This mall had the AE stores! Plenty to choose from and always moderately priced.

  I recently had one of the most uncomfortable shopping experiences I’ve ever had at American Eagle Bluffton Location. I went in to return an item that didn’t fit. When I first tried it on at home, the tag had detached, but I still had the tag with me in the bag. I explained this when I handed the return over. The employee took the item out of the bag, asked for my order number and after I provided it she scanned the tag. At first, everything seemed normal until she started closely examining the item. She looked it over front and back, and then out of nowhere, she actually smelled the item in front of me and asked, “Did you wear this?” I was taken aback and honestly embarrassed by the implication. I had already explained that the item didn’t fit, which is why I was returning it. There was absolutely no reason to smell the clothing or make such a comment, and it came across as accusatory and unprofessional. After that, she told me she was “doing me a favor” by accepting the return since the tag was detached, because according to her, store policy doesn’t allow returns without tags attached. I’ve shopped at AE for years and have returned items without tags before without any issues, so I mentioned that. Her response was a very dismissive and snotty “Yeah, okay,.” which only added to how uncomfortable the entire interaction already was. The whole situation left me feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and honestly, like I was being accused of something I didn’t do. I don’t expect to be treated that way as a loyal customer, especially over a simple return. I left the store questioning whether I even want to continue shopping at American Eagle, which is disappointing because I’ve always enjoyed the brand. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because no customer should be made to feel humiliated or talked down to during a basic return.

  American eagle has a lot of great stuff they just need to come down on their price every once in awhile they have a great sale

  I recently took my granddaughter shopping at your Hilton Head store. Gekara was so helpful and made our experience very pleasant. She was so helpful and knowledgeable about the products…. Great customer service!!!!!

  Wanted to thank the ladies that were there last night (2/8). I didn’t realize they closed at 8 and I arrived at 7:55 and when I realized they were going to close in 5 min I was going to leave but they told me no worries to take my time and shop! They made me feel welcomed into the store. Thank you to these ladies for making my night.
