The company that used to be known for quality and standing behind their products clearly no longer lives up to that reputation. Their customer service is terrible—unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to take responsibility. They refused to honor their warranty on an item that failed under normal use, despite clear defects. On top of that, the quality of their products has gone downhill significantly. What I received felt cheap and poorly made, nothing like the durable gear LL Bean advertises. For the high prices they charge, this level of quality and customer service is unacceptable. I will not be shopping here again and would not recommend LL Bean to anyone expecting reliability or integrity. Edit: then they give this copy and paste response to everything the only this this liberal company knows how to make correctly is the dam tote bag.

The staff is super helpful and always knows exactly where to point you depending on what clothing or accessories you’re looking for. I ended up buying my first L.L.Bean 850 down packable coat because I loved the style and had been wanting one for a while—so glad I finally got it. I also grabbed two awesome pairs of corduroy pants I’d had my eye on. The fitting room staff was great too and even brought me a different color to try on. I was asked if I wanted to sign up for an L.L.Bean credit card for 25% off, but I declined since I didn’t want to open another account—still appreciated the offer though. Overall, it’s definitely worth the 45–50 minute drive. Next time I need outerwear, I’ll be heading back for sure.
