Less than a week ago, I purchased a white knit quarter-zip sweater. I wore it for the first time yesterday and unfortunately discovered a significant hole on the right sleeve.
When I returned to the store today to address the issue, I was disappointed by the service I received. One of the employees was noticeably rude during our interaction. Her coworker acknowledged that the sweater had been identified as a defective product and informed me that a refund would be possible. Based on that information, I chose to return the item rather than exchange it.
Despite this, I was repeatedly questioned in a passive-aggressive manner about whether I was sure I didn’t want to exchange the sweater instead. As a loyal customer who regularly purchases activewear from your brand and has spent a considerable amount over the past year, this experience was particularly disheartening.
Unfortunately, due to this interaction and the lack of professionalism I encountered, I no longer feel comfortable shopping at this location.

Loving this new store! I’ve been shopping at aerie for a long time and the new store is just fantastic. I had such a positive experience there recently, even during the busy shopping season and definitely wanted to praise the staff for being so friendly.

I love their clothes and I have been a loyal Aerie fan for years! Today, I was disappointed when I was at the store around 2 o’clock in the afternoon wanting to buy two sweatshirts. Signs throughout the store said sweatshirts were 20% off. When they were full price at the register, I questioned it and the manager, Waverly, told me that those signs shouldn’t be up and no sweatshirts were on sale. Since it was the middle of the afternoon and the store hadn’t just opened, it’s disappointing that they didn’t honor the 20% off when they were the ones that left the signs up all day. I told the manager that she lost my business and she didn’t really seem to care. Disappointing! I think I will stick to making my purchases online.
