- FMFrancis Morrow1 day ago1.0In mid-December, I dropped off an opal set in silver ring. The opal was scuffed up and I wanted to get it polished. I needed to sign a disclaimer not to hold them responsible if the stone was damaged and was told it would be about 2 weeks (Dec 30). As of today, no one had called, so I called and found the ring was ready. I picked it up, the stone looked no different. Mountz had polished the silver and charged me $60 for that service. They never touched the ring even though that was the reason I'd brought it in. They told me today that to polish the stone, they would need to unmount it and sent it to a lab - the size and shape of the stone may change and may not fit in the mounting. Needless to say, I'm not a happy customer and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I needed links taken out of a watch and they were extremely helpful and did it on site right away! He was very knowledgeable and so patient to what I needed. He made the whole process seamless and he exceeded expectations. Highly recommend paying him a visit and working with him.

The usual cost is $35, which I was more than happy to pay. Instead, Melissa surprised me by saying there was no charge and wished me happy holidays. I was truly touched by her kindness. I would definitely recommend this place for the service alone.
