Love the fact that I live in close proximity to a Bass Pro Store. My kids love to visit to see the fish in the little aquarium. In the rare times that I have a concern or issue (purchasing online)… I always receive a call back from the store trying to correct the problem.

Used to be a good store. Don’t recognize any faces anymore. God forbid you have to return something, manager John will refuse. What happened to taking care of the customer? It was your sales associate that sold me the wrong rangefinder and you could have helped replace it with the correct one! Where did Bass Pro find this guy? Will be calling corporate.

The firearm sales team is trash. Two associates were bent very rude and condescending to an elderly white gentleman who looked to beat least in his late 70’s. Had a cane to walk. He was trying to buy a firearm and needed help with the paperwork. The (35-40) aged African American associate told him in a very loud, inappropriate manner “WELL IF YOU WOULD JUST LOOK AT WHAT THE QUESTIONS ARE ASKING YOU TO DO ITS NOT THAT HARD!” and walked away. My wife & I were so appalled by his tone that we wanted to tell the older gentleman to take his money elsewhere. No respect for his elders, and it begs the question if he would treat an elderly man of his own race the same way.

Hello the reason for my review is i am unsatisfied with the care i have recieved after the purchase of my 40hp merc jet motor, so excited to get this brand new motor in the spring of 2025, got the motor installed and took to the water and upon reaching half throttle the motor would kick out of gear and instantly come to a stop, this happened at least three times, called paul at service and he said bring it down we will take a look at it, i also stated the wake and vibration were exsessive and the wake was almost splashing back into the boat and that i thought the wake could be the problem with the motor kicking out. they had the boat there for about a month and a half they replaced some parts in the linkage and tiller trying to get it to not kick out. it seems to not kick out anymore and glad of that but the wake is still real bad and almost coming back into the boat. I have put a straight edge on the bottom of the boat and the intake for the jet is about 1 inch below the bottom of the boat and i see now why they mounted it where they did. the orientation of the bolt pattern on the motor and design of back of the boat are such that it as high as it can go unless you make a bracket. there is no doubt in my mind that this is contributing to the motor kicking out also plus the load on the motor pushing the extra water and clearance in low water situations can all be helped by raising the motor. please also note that while the boat was at the dealership the winch and the jack were both replaced as the ones on the boat were somehow damaged and replaced i dont know why this happened but was please that they replaced at no charge to me. please help me get this resolved, as i am about to get this repaired at a dealership at my own cost Sincerley Rick

Don't trust Ted, the boat guy. We spent over $20k there with glitches and bumps along the way, giving him the benefit of the doubt. We trusted the expert on two main things, one very much against our better judgement and both were outright wrong. 1. The motor we ordered wasn't available almost a month after our initial order so he recommended we go up in size. We shared our concerns that it would be too big and he said he confirmed smaller would be too small and that was our best option. Day of pickup, we couldn't even open the main storage compartment of the boat with the massive motor installed. Even their tech recommended the smaller motor and said if anyone had checked with him that is what he would have said but Ted never asked. They initially pushed back about taking the motor of the boat and taking it back but ultimately did. We ended up buying the right motor on our own, outside of the financing and installing it ourselves. 2. We upgraded the trolling motor that we purchased specifically because we told Ted that we wanted a fish finder that had the ability to talk to the motor and would allow us to follow the contour of the lake. We have not had/ used this feature but read about it and needed his help. A few back and forth conversation, he came back and told us which fish finder we needed, confirming it would work for this and added it to our order. Imagine our surprise when we were installing our newly purchased motor ourselves, only to discover that there is no network option and we don't have the only fish finder option that we specifically asked for. The Store manager called it a "story" when I shared my concerns and then kept saying it was misunderstandings or miscommunication between us and Ted. They gave us a whopping $100 of the additional cost we incurred for purchasing the balance of the fish finder costs out of pocket (again, cost was initially supposed to be in our financing for this and the motor) and they are shipping us the new one but never once owned their mistakes. It wasn't a misunderstanding or miscommunication. Its not a story. They failed us and made an exciting experience a frustrating one. We'll never make a big purchase there again. ***EDIT 11-MAR-2026*** Customer service responded to this review and asked me to reach out. I did a week ago, providing two different phone numbers and email addresses and aside from an immediate response saying someone would reach out, no one ever did. Apparently, it's not just the store that doesn't understand customer service. ***EDIT 27-MAR-2026*** Still no follow up. Assuming there will be none by this point. Side note, the rug on the bunk of the trailer is ripping already, after only the 2nd trip out.
