  I love JCP and have shopped there for decades. I even schedule all my hair appointments at their Salon. Yesterday, I was extremely disappointed and shocked with my experience in the jewelry department. I was returning a pair of earrings that I'd ordered online. I told the associate that I was interested in rose gold hoop earrings. She pointed in the direction of a case across the floor. I was looking in the case when the associate returned from the register and dropped off my return receipt. I was about to ask about a particular pair of earrings that caught my eye, when she just turned and walked away! She had NO INTEREST in helping a customer. I was in shock of her lack of "customer service" and told my son "I GUESS SHE'S DONE WITH ME AND APPARENTLY DOESN'T WANT TO SELL ME THOSE $200 EARRINGS!" I'm still shaking my head about it, especially with all the news about so many stores being closed due to poor sales.

  Bobbie from JC Penney’s beauty section is genuinely one of the most disrespectful people I have met. My boyfriend has a speech impediment and he asked Bobbie a question, and Bobbie then mocked him back to his face!!! I’m so beyond disgusted with this behavior, we immediately left. Another lady let us know she was also gossiping about it and telling other associates and customers how he was behaved like a toddler all because of his speech impediment.

  JCPenney Beauty’s associates cannot handle confrontation respectfully, or professionally. My friends and I came in to use a gift card I had received, and were met with extreme disrespect and childish actions from women who were too old to be acting so pettily. My friend’s boyfriend threw away an empty can in a trash bin located in the store and was berated for it. His girlfriend removed the can after being told it couldn’t be disposed of there, and the associate went off even though the issue was being handled. After they left the store and I entered to browse, said associate continued to follow us and continuously mock and complain about the interaction even though we had nothing to do with it. They proceeded to treat our group poorly until I checked out and left.
