Went there after work to pick up my tax return guilty pleasure revolver and was extremely impressed. I was greeted my a woman who could have been Mrs. Clause and two random employees greeted me on my way to the pick up area. Check in at the kiosk was a breeze. Barely wait time. Peaceful music to vacation to. Very thorough background check and checks and balances process. Professional but not stiff. My salesman deserves a raise and blessings to his family in Tahoe after the recent disaster. He did very well. Very easy process for law abiding citizens. Good parking as I went at noon. Great deals and prices in store and online. If every store was like this there would be less world problems. Thank you very much for being professionals, genuine and friends! Sincerely, S/O Longfellow

As a huge outdoorsman, I used to exclusively shop at Cabela’s for my outdoor adventures. I even remember my very first purchase when I was about 13 (back in the late 90s). I loved receiving the big hardback book catalog! I was even a Cabela’s Field Ambassador in late 2010s. I know change is inevitable, but once Johnny Morris of Bass Pro bought Cabela’s he totally ruined it. It went from a luxury destination outdoor store to basically the Walmart of outdoor stores. They cut staff, drastically reduced the ammo section, brought in more clothes/gifts, the private brands went from quality first to margin first, you get it. They did a 180 in regard to what made Cabela’s special. You used to go knowing you paid more but the experience, customer service, product quality and post purchase service were second to none. That’s gone. I no longer shop there. If you’ve never been, it’s worth walking the store to see the cool taxidermy and fish.

Came there twice. Asked for help to show/tell me more about head units, transducer and life scope, to see package deals. Absolutely no help, no ideas, he is not here today , next daybhe left early , asked about information nobody know anything. Where fisherman's alredy know about when discounts comes up. I was where to spend 5+k on equipment, well seems like I got my answer

Came in to pick up a new firearm as their price was $20 cheaper than elsewhere. Signed up for their wait queue at the firearms counter and after about 20 minutes I was first in the queue. Another 20 minute later I was still first in the queue but then someone walked up and they started helping them right away even though myself and others had been waiting. I decided the $20 difference wasn't worth the time. Mentioned what happened to a manager who didn't seem to care and just shrugged it off. This isn't the first time I've had trouble here so at this point I don't plan on coming back for anything.
