  Wasn’t even in this store 5 minutes and I listened to the manager with the short gray hair chastising a younger girl that worked there. First it was because a group of girls walked in and said “hello” and kept walking. She said “do you know them?” “They can’t be coming in unless they’re shopping” then as she’s folding clothes she started in on her because she didn’t walk up to the customer. (How can you do that while folding a mountain of clothes?) as a parent I’d advise you to not allow your child to work in such a negative work environment. And as a customer who’s worked retail for over 15 years it’s unprofessional to do that on that on the floor, in front of customers. If you have high employee turn over I’d assume she is the reason why! I can’t imagine having to deal with her negative attitude on a daily basis! I walked straight out and will not be supporting a retailer like that.

  American Eagle needs to re think about the type of people they hire. I walk in with my kids to do some peaceful shopping but instead I noticed how one employee named Hillary was behaving. I dont know what authority she has but I overheard her being really rude to her co workers. She spoke with so much hostility and just made the environment there so uncomfortable. The middle age woman Hilliary is very hash towards these high-school and college kids, I wonder how she treats the customers. I for sure did not want to approach her for help. So sad at her grown age she's acting like that. Do better American Eagle.

  Customer service can be better. Specifically on the aerie side. The few times I would go in, I would get approached by passive aggressive employees that don’t like it when you’re looking through the drawers of underwear or stacks of leggings. I get it, it’s retail. It’s your job to make sure everything looks neat, and I’m sure you just spent however long refolding everything. Same time, that’s what you signed up for. As someone that gets overstimulated easily; being asked numerous times if there’s a certain color, size or style of a certain pile Im looking through, Despite repeatedly saying no I’m okay, while the employee is still standing right besides me watching me like a hawk - gets super frustrating and annoying. It’s not welcoming at all. Like I’m a grown woman, I’m just here trying to enjoy my time with my significant other and have a good day shopping. I used to like Aeries, but after my last visit being uncomfortably watched and felt confronted by some younger employee from trying to shop through the underwear drawers. She honestly ruined the vibe for me and for that place :/. Do better girls.
