I wanted to take a moment to recognize what incredible help we received from Sam at the Springfield location. After having complications with mounting my scope on my rifle, Sam’s knowledge and eagerness to solve my problem, expedited the repair which was under warranty. I’m not sure I could have come to this solution without his help. He furthered his assistance by mounting my new scope PERFECTLY, and making sure I was happy when the new scope came in. This was truly 5 star service.

The "GREAT MALTIPOO SHAKE DOWN" at the Sacred Temple of Camo.
I used to think Bass Pro Shops was a Sacred Temple of Camo for rugged men in flannel to contemplate the philosophy of the "Big One" while surrounded by high priced boats, guns and fishing gear. I was wrong. It is actually a high stakes psychological warfare laboratory specifically calibrated to exploit the impulse control issues of a 10 pound Maltipoo.
Yesterday, my fierce apex predator (who looks remarkably like a sentient cotton ball) was patrolling the aisles. Usually, she just enjoys the vibes and the oversized taxidermy, but then we hit the pet snack gauntlet. Well played, Bass Pro. Truly.
You placed the "Poppers" at the exact, scientific Nose shot altitude for a small dog. My dog who usually waits for a formal invitation to do anything stopped, conducted a professional olfactory audit of the inventory, and then systematically cold cocked her choice of snack off of the shelf. She didn't just want a snack; she had demands. We tried to offer her the fancy alternatives, but she was adamant: Sweet potato or riot. I’ve never seen her make a personal life choice with such terrifying confidence. She looked at me like, "I’ve selected the provisions for the expedition, human. Pay the man."
We caved. We bought the Sweet Potato Poppers. And to my absolute shock, she is obsessed. You managed to turn a casual stroll into a stick up orchestrated by a dog that weighs less than a gallon of milk.
10/10 marketing. You’ve successfully weaponized the Maltipoo nose. I’ll be back for more snacks once my dog finishes her current "kill."
All jokes aside it is one of the smaller Bass Pros I've been too but also one of the most friendly and helpful. Well done management and team.

I bought a used m43 Firestar pistol from the gun library. When I bought it, the salesman told me that it was fully functional, although he did say that they weren't able to fire the pistols before selling them. The pistol looked fine upon my visual inspection, although the salesman couldn't remove the trigger lock to allow me to dry fire the pistol before I purchased it. The first time I took it out to the range, it malfunctioned almost every other shot and it hasn't been better since. Because I bought it from the gun library, I wasn't able to return it.
The service was good, but I won't be buying a used firearm from Bass Pro Shop again.

Firearms counter is a joke. They count 4 customers as busy. No communication about a kiosk to sign in to be helped. Might have had my eyes on buying a firearm a little much to read if there was something saying that. Other cabelas or bass pro shops I’ve been in the people will actually converse with you. Five people standing behind the counter, four customers including me. One of the guys I assume would have been the manager just staring at me from across the way. Won’t be back in that store again.

The customer service here is absolutely terrible you’ll find 3-4 staff talking about life at any time in the store and will not stop there convo to help the customers. I bought a bow and couldn’t have it adjusted the same day was told to come back the next day , when came back I waited over 45 mins to even be acknowledged and helped. There has to be over 50 staff on duty and only one guy can adjust a bow? Not to mention the over compensation in low testerone of the employees showing through their weird , age related ego. It’s like they don’t like helping younger generations get into the outdoor sport world.. very mis informational and will guide you in the most expensive options possible without a clue of even how to adjust the product they’re selling you… extremely corporate trash. Oh and when you call the corporate office and speak with provisions department . They don’t try and remediate their employees mistakes just give you a fake reassurance that they’ll talk with their district manager about the situation. Will not support a corporation that treats its customers poorly. Will shop locally from now on. Also expect to pay 15-25% over msrp on almost everything g
