I’ve been shopping at AE at Valley River Center for over 20 years and today I experienced not so great customer service from their associate Braelyn at the register. She was extremely rude to me when I wanted to order jeans that were exclusively online and Braelyn “Asked for a UPC number” in a rude tone when I told her that the jeans that I wanted to order were exclusively online and that you don’t have them in store In the size and style that I wanted in a polite way. She asked for additional help when luckily, the Store Manager Sherri was there to help me and gave me good customer service and helped me order my jeans. Braelyn did thank me for coming in and shopping at American Eagle. Sherri has helped in the past when I’ve shopped at AE. Thanks to Sherri for your help and patience with me.

Although I do like AE clothing I will never shop there again! I tried returning something and even though I had the receipt AND the tag they would not allow me to return it because the tag was not still on it. On the bottom of the receipt it does not state that this is necessary, only that you need the receipt. Apparently, on the back of the receipt in fine print it states that the tags need to be attached. Well, who reads that and why isn’t stated on the front?! Also, they should mention that to customers before they leave the store. WHAT A SCAM! Now I’m stick with a sweater that is too small that I’ll never wear!

I bought a sweatshirt and simply needed a smaller size. When I tried to exchange I was told that, even though I had a receipt, the price tag had been removed and therefore I could not return it. As a 50+ female I have been shopping for decades and never come across such a ridiculous policy. This is a paper tag that can be easily replaced, the receipt clearly shows I purchased the exact item. Also, the employees of the Eugene, OR store could do a better job of customer service. Both times I was there there and waiting in line to pay, there were 2 or 3 employees around the registers and they didn't jump in to help me and instead chose to let the one person handle everything. Please improve your customer service AE!! Your clothes are overpriced so if you don't have decent service, people will quit going there altogether!
