- TVTim VealDec 28, 20252.0L.L. Bean clothing quality today isn’t the quality they built their brand on. The bigger problem is customer service and return policy. I received a gift; an L.L. Bean flannel shirt purchased online. Unfortunately the size was wrong, so I drove an hour to the store to exchange it. They would not return or exchange an item purchased online… treated it as if it were a separate company. So I left the store and purchased a shirt at Roots Canada. No problems like this at Roots! I’ve been in this Waterloo store 4x and had a negative customer service experience each time. So, reluctantly, I am purchasing elsewhere. I recommend you do too… and if it’s an option, maybe support a Canadian brand?

I was hoping to try 28-29 inch inseam pants but the store did not carry those. Only a handful of products were available in sizes that are uncommon. On the plus side I really loved the designs and the fabric feels like it is durable.
